The best known function of the kidneys is excretion. They purify the blood from nitrogenous substances, sulfuric acid and phosphoric urea, which are formed during metabolism and are excreted in the urine. They are removed with urine, excess water, salt, hormones, vitamins, trace elements, glucose. The body is free from external substances. Advised through the kidneys, such as medications, the kidneys also maintain the homeostasis of the body's systems.
